Total Swimming Open £16 Million Redevelopment Launch Of Harvey Hadden Sports Village
On the 12th September, Total Swimming alongside Nottingham City Council, Speedo and Fuel10K, kick started the Open Day of the redeveloped £16 million leisure complex - Harvey Hadden Sports Village.
As part of the redevelopment of the site, a brand new 50m swimming pool has been built for the local community and the local swimming clubs in the area which have produced World Class athletes such as Rebecca Adlington OBE.
Celebrating the Open Day were Olympic athletes - Steve Parry, James Goddard, Keri-anne Payne, Ollie Hynd, Katie Skelton and Yvette Baker. Throughout the day, hundreds came to visit the centre to join in the fun and meet the Olympians. Many swimmers took to the pool in a variety of sessions to test out the water and get advice from Olympic athletes and trained instructors.
Speedo provided a wide variety of brand new equipment to try out in the water and Fuel10K were also there on the day giving away highly nutritional breakfast products.
Throughout the day there was something for everyone to take part in within the world class facility. Nottingham City Council should be proud of what they have delivered for the local community.
