Summary of role

We are looking for an exceptional Total Swimming Academies team member responsible for the operational management of a learn to swim programme who will provide a safe environment for learning to swim as well as excellent standards of customer care for swimmers and their families on every visit.

You will work as part of a team to deliver the Total Swimming Academies experience, which will include at times Lifeguarding, Teaching and responsibility for the performance of your venue including meeting KPIs and delivering to the world class standard that Total Swimming Academies expects our customers to experience.

Job Description

Venue Coordinator Duties

Administrate and implement the Total Swimming Academies programme with the integration of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway.

To teach swimming lessons where and when required, as agreed with Total Swimming Academies Regional Coordinator.

Prepare lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work that meets the creativity, knowledge and innovation expected

Co-ordinate the teaching team, to meet the customer and operational demands of the Total Swimming Academies programme.

Mentor and develop all swimming teachers in accordance with Total Swimming Academies training programme.

Follow Total Swimming Academies recruitment processes to ensure a full and consistent teaching team.

Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships

Assist in the communication, sales, marketing and promotion of Total Swimming Academies.

Establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, handling and escalating complaints where appropriate.

Maintain own mandatory qualifications and CPD/ training requirements.

Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with company safeguarding policy.

To follow processes to ensure that qualification and DBS records are maintained for teachers

To follow the Total Swimming Academies Health and Safety policy to include NOPs and EAPs to minimise risks

Carry out additional duties as and when required by the role

Person Specification

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of managing a team of swimming teachers
Previous experience of coordinating a learn to swim provision would be beneficial
Perseverance and patience to encourage and put people at ease
Experience at working both independently and as part of a team
A self-confident, solutions focused team player with a can-do attitude
Observant, notices customers and anticipates their needs
Computer literate, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Passion for swimming
Swimming Teacher Level 2 Qualification
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) – training provided

Other relevant requirements

Flexibility towards working hours
Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
