Some of us will be putting our feet up for a couple of days, and maybe scoffing a few chocolate eggs, but our Aquateers will be thinking about their figures and getting back into training after the World Championships. The quest for Olympic glory means that they can’t afford to pile on the pounds, so if you’re looking for a way to avoid Easter chocolate addictions, here’s a few top tips:
1. Remember your goals, is your want for chocolate as great as your desire for success?
2. Keep your energy levels high, if your blood sugar levels drop you’ll be more likely to give in to chocolate cravings.
3. Have some alternatives available, when you’re in need of a chocolatey snack go for low fat chocolate flavoured yoghurt or low fat hot chocolate drink.
4. Tell your friends and family that you’d rather get Total Swimming vouchers instead of chocolate eggs!!!
5. Enjoy it in moderation, everything is fine as long as you don’t go crazy!
