Hi I’m Steve Parry the Swimmer who won a medal in the Olympic Games in 2004.

I wasn’t always Steve the Olympic medallist – I was once 5years old sitting on the poolside nervously waiting for my first swimming lesson to begin!  Just like the children here today! This is where it all begins and I want to help children like yours to become just as wild about swimming as my friends and I am. Let’s just say you are in the right place to get your first taste of the Aquatic life. 

Total Swimming is committed to providing high quality teaching for children.  The scheme aims to deliver a progressive programme with innovative content covering all areas within the aquatic spectrum, dedicated and professional teachers, the scheme demands high standards in progression and transfer allowing a child to reach their highest potential at a rate suitable to them as individuals.

The scheme has been set up in order to address a need for change within the current teaching provision.  The aim is to teach more children to the highest standard allowing progressive and seamless transfer throughout the teaching levels and allow positive transfer to competitive clubs.

Since the launch of our first programme in Speke, Liverpool in 2006 the Academies have gone from strength to strength. Thousands of children have learnt to swim with us and some gone onto swim for their local swimming club. We have continued to grow whilst still maintaining the quality of the programme and I am very proud of the work that the Total Swimming teacher’s do for us week in week out.

We want your child to experience the best and we are here to give them the vital start they need.  With smaller class numbers, high quality teachers and a programme that meets each child’s individual needs, they can’t fail to become a successful little fish!

The Learn to Swim Academies cater for children 3 1/2 years and over, we also have a Swim a Song programme for adult & child starting from 6 months to 3 1/2 years.We currently have an extensive range of lessons across Merseyside and Glasgow now and we are looking to expand across the UK in 2010.
