The Oceans of Fun is an event that is designed to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to try all the Olympic Aquatic disciplines and take on board some of the practical lessons. By introducing not just young people but also swimmers this can inspire into taking on fresh challenges and be inspired by Olympic Aquatic sports and the great personalities of the pool!
The Event
Working to the highly successful Oceans of Fun Community event model Total Swimming will deliver a morning or afternoon of skills and games across the 4 Olympic Aquatic disciplines. Every swimmer will get the opportunity to try all of the sports by rotating through the stations. Each station is led by an Olympic athlete providing instruction along the way.
The athletes will be introduced at the beginning of the event before entering the pool. The event will conclude with all the families getting the chance to meet the Olympians outside of the pool, autographs, photos and the showing of Olympic and Commonwealth Medals. Every swimmer attending the event will receive a Total Swimming T Shirt & Swimming Hat for everyone getting into the pool.
Swimmers will move around the stations together, spending an alloted time on each station.
